I used the font - Calvert MT Std - for the title of the Nalclip poster for the Graphic Form class. The square serif without bracket look alike the wedges of the nalclip.
It was interesting that there were a couple of fonts that went better than this with the nalclip formations alone but didn't work when they were used with the other elements such as patterns and text on the poster.
(didn't find out why though.)
Personal findings
- comparatively small thick/thin contrast
- high x-height
- big eyes of e, repetitive circles stand out from b, c, d, e, g, o, p, or q, which deliver positive impression.
- regular set-widths
- no stress on 'o', somehow geometric feelings
